Simon McCarthy

Simon is a senior costs consultant, having 34 years’ experience in all areas of costs. He specialises in such areas as police & prison law, judicial review, immigration, public law, high value personal injury and general civil litigation and he has conducted a number of substantial Supreme Court cases, achieving some remarkable results. Simon deals with high level costs negotiations, advocacy and the conduct of detailed assessment proceedings at all levels, regularly achieving outstanding results. He was instructed in the Hillsborough Victims’ Misfeasance Litigation by Saunders Law, the Lead Solicitors for the Claimants and recently acted for The Good Law Project in a high profile claim against the government concerning the award of contracts in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
